(279 words) The main idea of the work is that society should not live in prejudice. At the time of Pushkin, this message was very relevant, because people of different classes could not marry, since it was considered unequal. In the work we see a revolt of heroes against the opinion of the world, forcing the nobles to adjust their personal lives to certain canons.
This story leaves a very good impression: the soul becomes very calm and warm after reading a book. An easy love story with a happy ending that returns faith in the most wonderful earthly feeling. What could be better? The plot is quite simple: the sweet girl Lisa disguises herself as a peasant to meet her young neighbor Alexei Berestov, whom she heard a lot of flattering words about. Their fathers were at enmity, so they had no other way to get to know each other. After the meeting of both heroes, passion embraces. Here, lovers encounter secular prejudices. Alexei’s father suddenly became friends with Lisa’s father, and they are planning to marry the children, but the love of a young man with a noble status and a poor peasant woman is definitely not in their plans. And yet, our heroes are doing well. As a result, the deception was revealed, Lisa turns out to be that very rich bride, and nothing prevents the lovers from being together anymore.
“The Young Peasant Woman” is one of my favorite works by A.S. Pushkin, because the author reminds us of such eternal values that we sometimes forget: love, family and friendship. The book teaches us not to pay attention to conventions, forget about material values and just love with our hearts. Love is an eternal power that gives meaning to life, and perhaps it is it that makes a person truly happy.
Most of all I liked that in the story, despite the obstacles that tried to separate the main characters, love was able to overcome everything. Even warring parents eventually became friends. So, real feelings are stronger than anything else!
